1. to get involved, stay informed, get out the good old boy networks and there family members,(have some Morales and values ,no nepotism)

2 accountability from are leadership

3 educate are members there rights

4 change are image....to positive from negative

5 realize this isn't the 1970s

6 get with the time....realize there needs some changes to work rules to become more profitable and competitive

7 be proud to be a teamster meaning we out hook, move more bills, deliver on time, get it there safely and in one piece

8 get members involved in the future to help secure are pension by staying informed on pension law reform and after

9 come up with solutions

10 stay unified when we know management is wrong and make them accountable by each and every member helping pursue that matter all the way to the top to get it resolved

11 tell the company we want members who are the best at there job to have meetings with upper management to tell them what needs to be done to get the job done they need to accpt are input

12 do your job like you are supposed to 8 hours of work means 8 hours stop the abuse of time work smart and safe to help us keep are jobs when you screw off it effects a lot of other people in the system and cost the company a lot more wasted money that doesn't need to be take some pride and do it right... some of you what you did 20 years ago work wise doesn't work now

13. do all these things, and maybe one day at a time, one local at a time we can restore the pride, be the best in the industry on are numbers, get a good public image, get involved in the community to show that we are teamster and every one should have a voice in the work place, that unions can change and be a real part of the community and are the hardest workers and we set the standard for the industry. that being union isn't a bad thing .change the perception out there

I might be dreaming, but hey why not ,maybe the teamster can be reborn and rise to the top again and grow the membership and keep the middle class alive and well into the future

my comments are mine not those of this website or there management or owners lol:usa2:

jamesw heard all he wanted to hear from you today .YES now hes heard enough .
those are great dreams cellblock i used to have them too. im afraid todays vote just dashed them for you . sorry

Most that worked during the 70's should be retired by now.
How long do you keep doing all the above 1-13 and keep getting the same outcome?

yea most have but they taught most of you there way of doing things ...............fall in line or pay the price or hey they aint workin hard why should I .................see the problem

this thread should be what we need to focus on add things to it and make this turn around, make every one accountable from the top down.......just remember open or closed the big boys always get there money im sure the top boys could go some where else and make a lot more then they are now, but there here trying to make this work im sure they could go back to retirement or get another job somewhere else for a lot more money and a lot less stress..............just remember 2012 yrcw lost over 300 million estimate for 2013 = around 100 million for last year............. that's at least progress like it or not

I think its time for us to really let are voices be heard for change........like my points in this thread
think the email for welch is wrong I put on there sorry have to check later

Great Post. If you go on the other LTL boards, you read a lot of the same problems and issues. The BIG problem here is of course the "DEBT". My Wife has been at UPS (parcel) 25 yrs. They complain about their Management and co-workers more than we do,...In the past 38 yrs. I have worked with SLACKERS, but I have also worked with MEN that I would be willing to take my last dying breath with, and they have out numbered the aforementioned !

#6 Tells all. that's the mindset,right there.
I'll put some reality back into this thread.

Save the thoughtful letter to welch and try santas lap instead. You'll get better results.
Yrc makes the real cash for investors doing its volitile pump n dumps.
You people really think THE CARLISLE GROUP bought in because its a good long range play!!

Get over trying to save our company.. As long as its trading heavy volume on eratic spikes,
It ain't going anywhere.

The act of moving freight is now just yrc's legitimate day job or its store front for the real trading scam.

If this reality busts your wishy bubbles, too bad. That's what this is.

Well, I think a lot of us are just trying to do the right thing and not let the Company drag us down to their level. When and if it ends, I want to be able to say I did my very best, regardless. Remember,..."Live in hope, Die in despair" You do make valid points, but I can't change any of it.
