FedEx Freight | FedEx (FDX) Given New $120.00 Price Target by Stifel Nicolaus Analysts.

I thought the unofficial target was $105 by july. How about 2,500 drivers gone by September 2011? This is a precursor of the future, It has to make you wonder "WHAT DO THE ANALYSTS KNOW THAT YOU DON'T KNOW? OR is FEDEX going to make a PURCHASE? I guess it could be GOOD or BAD it depends on who you believe and what financial shape you are in.

As a matter of fact: The Dovetail (change of operations) policy gas been FULLY reinstated. Whereby you can follow your freight with ALL YOUR JOB CLASS SENIORITY. This was done quietly in FEBRUARY 2011. Just ask your TM to print a copy of current "CHANGE of OPERATIONS" Just as last summer the Dovetail Policy was abolished... just before the merger. Now it is OK to Dovetail, after we screwed all you guys. I thought it was a NATIONAL shutdown. But now I think it was FREIGHT SHUTDOWN. 70% of the tonnage we haul is "ECONOMY". We are gonna get whacked. I wish it was a JOKE. How do you change policies that will affect several hundred driver's lives and their families and then 8 months later change it back to suit your needs? My SCM would not even discuss a Dovetail Policy with me or others who have asked. And He was the one who 8 months ago said " YOU GUYS HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT THE DOVETAIL POLICY HAS BEEN ABOLISHED." Can You or I trust this Leadership?

Yep! Just make and change the rules as they go along.

I am still kind of hot about this. I don't think people understand that we will be run just like a railroad "THE RAILROAD NEVER STOPS ROLLIN". 10 hours off-duty and back to work with a 90 min. call block to report. Before year's end you most likely will be reconfigured.
 
If the investors or analyst now anything it would be public knowledge. If they do know and it's not public knowledge then it's insider trading which is against the law.
 
Well until such time as our names replace FedEx on the the side of the truck I guess we just gotta Cowboy up with a little Brokeback Mountain on the side.
 
Before the merger we had Fedex Freight, and Fedex Freight National LTL. They did offer transfers with your seniority to either company if you qualified. Then we had some micro manager idiot come up with the idea of changing it to economy and expedite freight. If you were the customer, which one would you chose? Hence now we have the problem of most of the freight shifting to economy. UPS has used the railroads for years to haul their freight. It only makes economic sense to use the railroads with freight that isn't time sensitive. UPS also has a certain percentage of freight that can go by rail in their contract, and they don't use sub haulers to haul there freight. These are two luxuries we don't enjoy, and probably never will. We need to go back to Fedex Freight. Separate but equal did not work in our schools, and it won't work here. We need to offer two choices, rail or truck, and discounts to the larger shippers. This is not brain surgery, we just have people running the show who are brain dead. TP

Did you come from National? If so, that is what I am saying National was not classified as a "CHANGE OF OPERATIONS" it was a merger. They did away with the Dovetail policy just prior to the merger. Now it is back ... the only exception being you only have 1 year to go back with your Job Class Seniority. I know this to be a fact because I just signed my rights away to return to my home terminal.

Not necessarily true. If a privately held company was purchased they only have to announce it within the year. Whether that is a calendar year or a fiscal year who knows?

I hope I am completely wrong! If I am, it means All is well with the U.S. economy. The freight division of FEDEX is almost 100% dependent on North America, of that the United States accounts for 80% of our shipments. I have seen a few back-slapping sessions before they cut your throat. Just before Fedex purchased AF we were treated to cookouts and praise about how SAFE WE DRIVE. And then... well fast forward to may 20,2011. Good Luck to all.
