FedEx Freight | Nine dead in I-5 crash involving tour bus & FedEx Freight

One of our mechanics looked up the equipment. Said the tractor was from domiciled out of Hermiston,OR. The run originated in WDCA, which is typically a meet point, which I think is code for Weed,CA.

CNN is an acronym for the Communist News Network. The fact is, because FedEx is Non-Union, they are being crucified. I would almost go as far as saying if it was UPS, the headline would have been "Tractor Trailer hits bus". All pics would have been confiscated. But... it was us, so the headline was "FedEx truck hits bus and kills 10' Then they emphasize that it was a bus of low income, minority students who were visiting a college. It is the perfect story for CNN and MSNBC. If it was a UPS hitting a bus of wealthy white kids it would have been a non story to CNN. It is what it is.
 
Everybody! Stop! This is a tradegy! And as I see it, Evans is being CRUCIFIED!....Let s all look at this!....Media! Please LISTEN! This isn't about Evans...So far facts are stateing truck was in a blaze BEFORE HE CROSSED MEDIAN! Investigate and figure out it wasn't his fault!!! He had a wife and 2 small kids! I have a 2 yr. old son and twin 6 yr, old girls.....that's what keeps me going! Believe me...from experience I know what it takes to do this job....it is what it is....risks and all....guys it s a job!......I want facts! I will not throw my brother into the garabage ever! Family first! Right? Screw everybody who thinks differently! We all know what it takes to do this job! Everyday!

I was with you until it went BLAH BLAH BLAH.. A bus full of white kids ? Still would of been NEWS. A UPS truck ? Still would of been NEWS.

Forgive my cynicism, I just have no faith it today's media. THEY have made the decision to emphasize the low income and minority race aspect of these kids that perished. When a tragedy like this happens I could care less about those things. By all accounts, they were intelligent young people that were destined to make their mark in this world, and had their lives cut short. No matter what their income level or race is, does not matter to most of us, but it does to the media. It is insulting and immoral. And, Yes, the Non Union aspect of FedEx Freight matters to them as well. I have seen to many times when accidents happen to other carriers with Union representation, where their company name isn't the lead hook of the story being presented. What is sad, is that most people will not follow this story to see what really happened. They have passed judgement based on the initial reports from CNN and others, and branded the driver, and the company as child killers. Which in the end will sway people as to who they ship their products with.
 
If this is an equipment issue, however, we have a major frickin problem....as freight drivers as a whole....union or not!
 
I worked for Roadway for 3 yrs.....everything worked for the most part, but I 'll tell ya, some of the crap made you wonder weather or not it'd work when you needed it the most!

This probably also means that CNN won't have to do 5 weeks of wall to wall coverage looking for the "black boxes" of the FXF truck.
It is back to covering the Malaysia 370 flight for them.
