Has anyone else been hit up at work by the red shirts to give to the March of Dimes? I have been asked twice. the first red shirt was cool when I said no, but the second one tried to harass me into giving. The red shirt who tried to harass me can't even grow a decent beard on his face, he didn't like it when I just laughed at him. I have more hair on my butt then he can grow on his face.:fan:
 
That's outrageous!!!! How dare they try to collect donations for a charity that helps babies born prematurely and or with birth defects, helps fund and improve neonatal ward in hospitals all over the country just so some of these children can survive. Godless heathens!!!!!! How dare they!!!!!!!!
 
I guess that the policy of no solicitation only applies to us? Besides I prefer the Salvation Army not as much over head for a non-profit verses MOD.

Claim: It is called March of Dimes because only a dime for every 1 dollar is given to the needy.
Facts: The National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis was founded in 1938 and was nicknamed the “March of Dimes” after fundraisers which requested that each child donate a dime (the name was officially changed years later). It should be noted that in 2011 President Jennifer Howse received a salary of $545,982.
Program Expenses: 66%-75%

Jennifer must be hurting for money???

Are we donating to the kids or????
 
Please share the link where you found that. Also the CEOs of many non profits like the Red Cross and Uniceff, make a lot more money than Howse.
 
I'll give to the USO, and the American Red Cross.....with my check. I'm not giving money to a red shirt for the company to say..." Look What WE Did " and write it off for themselves...

How dare they push a guilt trip on us when, by law, only 7% or so of you actual donation, is required to go to the actual cause they represent.

I give $100, and maybe $10 ends up at the actual MoD doorstep for research, prevention, medicine, ect.

Meanwhile, the board of directors pockets $90.




Do some research on charitable donations.
 
I support Disabled American Vets. Program Expenses
