Man Lives In A Boeing 727 In The Woods Because He Can

Nice, living option, here is a gal that purchased an old plane for 2 grand, cost her 4 grand to move it.
24 grand to renovate, not bad to have such a novel dueling for 30 grand, although nothing was said about the land.

I learned that I would never do something like that. Someone might think a plane crashed and I would have the NTSB all over my place.

I have often thought about putting an old Peterbilt flat top sleeper in my back yard, maybe make it a tree fort.
Maybe get some peace and quiet.

ya may wanna visit an olive farm, and maybe buy one of these used vibrators to remind you that the sleeper is still attached to the truck......

Another two plus minutes of my life wasted watching a stupid video that didn't teach me anything.

Oh come on now, don't be such a grump. Here, have a beer on me:

I think it is a novel idea to recycle an old airplane and use it as a dwelling. For me a Boeing 747 would be great, as they have the upper deck with the spiral stairway. It would be the ultimate home, something very unique, not like every other house on the block like are built in the cookie cutter subdivisions with zero lot lines.

Another novel idea involves a converted missile shelter. I saw a show where a guy in Kansas did that. The government will sell you one.

i don't know if i'd want to have a shipping container as my home...i'd be afraid of the foreign driver that was supposed to drop it off, decided to live in there as well....

and have his daily driver parked along the side yard....

it's best those containers just go up and down I-95 from the Jersey ports to the Boston ports

personally an old church makes for a great home...

this way, when the gal screams out...."oh God...oh God...oh my freaking God"....

you'll either know you struck her "special spot".....

or she really likes your home...!!!

hehhehehehe.........i slay myself sometimes..........:LMAO:....:LMAO:....:LMAO:

If they were going to go to all the time and expense of making a video, why didn't they show the interior?

Guardrail

There are a number of videos that show the interior in various stages of the progress, from the beginning to the finished product. One thing I see that looks interesting is the floor appears to be made from Lexan.

But there doesn't seem to be any of it finished yet. I read some of the stuff on the guy's web page. It appears that he has encountered some hurdles along the way, as would be expected in a project such as this.

The last update to his web page was 2 years ago . . . . . . .

Heck, if it's isolated and paid for, that's good enough for me!

People are really getting creative with their digs nowadays. Here are some more ideas -
22 Most Beautiful Houses Made from Shipping Containers

I've seen a few web sites with info regarding building with Connex Boxes. It is intriguing, and when done well looks as if a reasonably nice home could be built for far less than with conventional methods.

And you would not have trouble with termites or dry rot either!
