During his surprise visit he announces that we will see new trucks (Freightliners) hitting the streets in August, about 350 of them and an additional 750 trailers. These new trucks all have tag axles and according to Ware he says that drivers love them. Not so sure about that but that's his claim. Claims our worker comp claims are through the roof and is asking everyone to work safer and if so will hopefully start paying us profit sharing in 2015. We are also supposed to be seeing some new fork lifts.
He also stated that Holland is gaining more autonomy from YRC basically stating that we will be running our own show to a certain extent.
He also called us a dying breed, a CDL driver. Holland is having a very hard time hiring drivers and that he needs us to be safe and show up everyday for work. As far as our financial situation, he said the regionals are doing real well and thinks that YRC is finally turning the corner.
He also stated that they are looking at a uniform policy (shirts) and giving out Christmas hams again.
Our TM has resigned and is on his way back to Charlotte and we are still not sure who we are getting although there is a new TM they hired "training" at our facility but no annoucement that he is our new TM as of yet.
Be safe out there brothers and carry on.

Mr. Scott Ware ,here's a clue IF Holland really wants to HIRE Drivers , SHOW US THE MONEY !!!! plain & simple MONEY will bring drivers in to apply !!!!!

Wait, What? Surprise visit?

I have seen the new Freightliners and I can't believe they are 7 speed tag axles. I am surprised they just didn't get true tandem axles with 10 speeds and call it a day. Better than nothing new at all I suppose.

Let me know how them tag's work out for you this winter.........................................
Must have got a real buy on these beauty's !!!!!!!!!!!

I like 7 speed and tag axle. Been driving 2000 Sterling in city for awhile. I would be real happy with it if they would just fix some stuff on it.

I drove the 7 speeds and tag axles for years here and always had good luck in the snow and ice, wasn't bad at all!

They actually work out pretty pretty well in the winter. You can put more weight on the drives when you need to.

Tag axle tractors are terrible in the city, you can get stuck on flat ground if you are not careful. To get drivers treat us with respect, give our money and pension back, keep the ham.

Hey Scott as far as the dying breed, you get what you pay for!

Christmas Hams !!!!!!! Hmmmmmm --- Boy that is gonna make everything all better... Better be a big ass ham for the 15% We give back every year!!

This dirt bag POS actually told us that all companies have debt and that he wasn't worried about ours as long as we can pay the note every time it comes do and that we should be used to the 15% giveback by now. So after they get through buying all this new equipment we will still a billion in debt in 2019. If anybody thinks we are ever getting anything back that's just wishful thinking. Hopefully my time is limited here as bad as I hate to say it, this used to be an awsome place to work. As far as the ham goes Mr. ware you can shuv it up your ASS !

It seems like with the 15% give back we could have had real beef burgers instead of turkey burgers.Keep your turkey burger I want my pension and 15% back.
