FedEx Freight | Sign a card and your probably fired right?

Actually, no it is not not, the company was Polar Beverages and i was there when it all happened. all of the guys that left and got screwed over ended up doing better than what they had to begin with. I am not using scare tactics or making anyone make any decision either way. I have worked at both union and non union shops over the years ( and i entered the workforce in the 70's) and i have seen Pepsi, Stop & Shop, YRC and many others get screwed over during contract time. Hell, Boston's police officers and the teachers have had no contract in like forever. I have seen these things go from very well to very bad in the blink of a eye.

I also understand that not all houses run the same at all, and that is a good and valid point to consider.............. as i was told during training, always cover your own ass, no one else is going to do it for you.........

okay, off my soap box now

It's funny how one always mention an experience of an organizing they had, and then throws the scare tactics of what can happen to you!
And finally compares the last company to present, how good you have it at FedEx!
Pure 101 union busting scare tactic!

I would like to start this reply with the fact that i'm for this movment. Having said that JN you have to realize its not like the teamsters have a great track record in the last 30 years. Organizing overnight is thier only example, and we all know how that turned out. Imean really think back to all the union freight companies that there were.what have they been doing all these years. If this is not sucsesful it could be very hard for all of us. As it was for the overnight guys who stood at thier time. right.

Screw the fear mongering. Who gives a dam anymore. That stuff is gonna come out of coarse because they want to intimidate us. And I say enough, is enough. Time to intimidate THEM!!!!!!!! All we do us back down out of fear, they get away with it, and then they are laughing their a$$'s off at us and toasting drinks to one another on the golf coarse that very next weekend. No, no more. This score card thing was THEE last straw! Let's stay on the organizing path, and remind these animals who got them here.

Unions didn't destroy those companies!
It was bad management!
It was Wall Street and the Investors who killed good trucking companies!
Pure corporate America greed!
When Viking Freight was run by Dick bangham and brother Randy, Viking was one of the best company I worked for.
They took care of the employees, made you feel part of the company and shared the profits by giving you a VPEP check!
There was no need for a union!
But when Viking sold to RSI, we fell into the web of Wall Street and the investors.
Then we were sold to FedEx corp and the ruthless investors who suck the blood of the FedEx employees!
FedEx corp doesn't care for the employees , but rather take care of the ruthless investors who drain the profits and screws the employees!

You make good points... FedEx has become more of an investment company disguised at a shipping company. #1 mission statement is Maximize return for shareholders, then they mention customers.

you missed my point Jn.. i didnt mean the union destroyed those companies..what i was trying to say was they have done nothing to organize any of the growing nounion one's that replaced them..again i ask what have they been doing for the last 30 years. not to mention letting CF be doublebreasted with conway.I am for this ,I just think the teamsters have to prove to us what they can do. also AF was the same. a good company now destroyed...ps try not to hate wall st. to much your retirement depends on them, and so does the teamster pensions.

Hoffa and the teamsters want Fedex Freight to join the teamsters. They are practically in open arms and welcoming us.

It has expired and he is welcome back , follow the rules.

Guardrail just does what he has to do here to keep peace.

8 centers have proven that NO, you cannot be fired for exercising your right to organize and improve your workplace... Didn't your hear? 3 big ones proved it this week... :1904: :TR10driving03: :1904:
