FedEx Freight | Thank you teamsters

Seriously!!!???
Absolutely. ...20 pts in three years is an ass load of points man. After 3 years the points are gone. Going back to the old review system if you go under review they will look at everything you have ever done and may fire you on the spot. The point system is very clear and you always know where you stand. I think anyone that would rather have your fate detrmined by a committee is out of their mind.

Wether it be 5 years or 3 years I carried no points. The issue with the score card is this. Let's say 2 years ago you bumped your dolly hooking up a set. That's 3 points. Now let's say you have a bad accident (I hope you don't or anyone for that matter ) you can be fired even I you are a 20 year employee. It's not right and it's not fair. For what we do it's not if you get into an accident it's when. I don't need the pressure of the score card on top of the pressure of my job

As you very well may be fired under review. I don't recall a accident scenario being 17 points. I didn't really study the sheet however. I might add...I know of cases of one and done rollover victims with excellent records. Any system is going to be flawed I guess. I can't imagine any way of honestly keep totally perfect checks and balances on such a large group of drivers. Something must be in place as there are drivers employed here that have absolutely no business behind the wheel of a big truck. They don't always find them before they kill someone.

I remember back in the day when Overnite Trans had a peer review board. This was made up of a couple managers/supervisors and employees that would look at the drivers driving history and accidents. This was completely bias and a unfair way of determining an employees fate. Over the years I had seen employees fired that did not deserve it and employees keep their jobs that did not deserve to. With a committee, its all who you know whether you keep your job or not.

I of agree that so there does need to be a safety policy in place. How ever the scorecard policy and the current policy which was also the old policy aren't any good.

^^^ true any policy is going to be flawed and I am all for job security and to be honest am looking at the union thing a bit more positively. Union job security has its down falls as well. It just burns my ass when lazy worthless POS are protected as well. Major down fall , unfortunately some will always take advantage of the system.

So what is your perfect Safety policy.i guess keep unsafe drivers on the street,oh yea put your family at risk of injury or death!

i liked point system (sorry i have opinion) but if company is to start a new policy, they shouldn't go back 5 years, should start that day with a clean slate...

score card was a little wacked i can run over red shirt (haha) only get 5pts but door open 10pts? whats with that???

UPS and UPS Freight are two different companies, just like Fedex Ground and Fedex Freight. One wouldn't be effected by the actions of the other.

They may operate independent of each other but if you don't think all the money is going in the same pot then you are living in lala land!!
