I have carried one for a couple years. I use it at night at rail yards, and yes, when I breakdown at night. Just seems like common sense, plus if THEY see ME, I go home that night standing up!

BNSF Requires drivers provided vest, hard hat, safety glasses, long pants and steel toed shoes for all deliveries. Some locations don't enforce it, but I carry these items in my tractor. And yes, YRC provided these items to me, except for pants.

St Louis has vests or reflective belts. If you working in the yard, they are a MUST!
