Holland | why run holiday bid so early?

We are starting our AM shift 2 hours early. Might have to do with servicing the freight.

calling city guys in 1 to 2 hours early too, because of a few reasons (1) short help (2) can't hire enough help (3) they love to pay OT pay (4) no trucks or trailers even IF they could hire help !! and it does NO good starting everybody early cause on the next day we are right back to late closings , here's a clue maybe raise the freight rates super high & get rid of the crap freight , then we could maybe move the freight ???

Bu . . Bu. . But what would we do without CH Robinson, Coyote Logistics, Freight Quote.com, Lumber Liquidators, or LKQ junk yard freight?

What sales staff. The F'N morons at the top have run them all off and they've taken all the good freight to their new employers. Great bunch of idiots we work for.
Had lunch with an ex-YRC customer that I stayed at daily for 12 years. He told me that THE YRC SALES REP. CHET had moved on to OD. Chet was a 30 year Yellow guy. He initially left when the 2008 merge took place. YRC went out and paid him dearly just to get him to return about a year later. Wonderful guy with connection with customers that is priceless. YRC will suffer greatly with losses like this. Good luck Chet (nuck)

We see the same thing all the time. Some of the freight returns to our trucks in time but in most cases it's gone unless the new carrier messes up badly. What's even worse is that they have even gotten rid of our truckload back hauls in favor of running empty. Their excuse is that they were losing money on the full loads.?????? 2500 miles empty sure does pay better than a load that covers 80 % of your expenses. I'm just glad I drive the trucks because I certainly don't have the brain power to get a grasp on that decision. These are the people that control our destiny. :duh::chairshot::tribehasspoken::nutkick::bowdown:
