XPO | The Problems

No disipline is supposed to be handed out over anything with the camera.
If that's true, then someone better tell my SCM, because we have a list of a few things that if the you're caught on camera doing, you will be disiplined for it, with the third offense being an LOI and a referrel to a SRB. Who thinks a guy outta be fired because he forgets to put on his seat belt or has a cell phone to his ear? Not me, not ever.

Not sure if folks are pro union or anti Conway. There's a big difference. I guess you can be both. With the lack of communication in the Conway system for the past years, maybe some people found a party willing to listen to their issues. Losing seasoned drivers with 10 to 20 years to other trucking cos.& moral in the tank should have raised a flag. It's hard to see the problems when your too busy patting each other on the back. Or AD Transport or CRST vans rolling down the road at .27/mile.
I used to via through XLA on the way home all the time. It looks like a damn Petro or Flying-J in there with all the stinky fat OTR slobs waiting for their loads. XLA is the worst piece of crap terminal in CCX territory. So glad I'll never have to see those arseholes ever again.

I dont know what smells worse at 5 am .. the dispatch office or the hot urine box they call the mens room

I haven't posted much but I've been in LTL for 36 years, 1 1/2 years at CCX,Teamsters for 33 years, and heres my take on this if anyone cares. Is the union the answer to all the problems? NO Do the Teamsters have problems? Yes BUT even a less than perfect UNION is better than no union. I'm telling you,its the best way to go and don't believe all the company b.s. about how bad it is.It might be for them, but not for you.I've been on both sides and I know

So why did you leave the union? If it was so good there... How did you end up in this mess?

I think everyone has the same position on all of what y'all say. Its frustrating for sure.what's depressing is how bad its getting, compared to how it was. Rightl

I think you misunderstood,I didn't leave the teamsters,I went back after my year and a half with CCX back in 88. After my indoctrination session in Ann Arbor, with Jerry Detter,I seen CCX wasn't for me.

Perspective? A difference of opinion between the hoser and the hosee? What problem with the bidding process? He bids the run, he's sits home and is runaround. Pay the man. That is pretty simple.

From my understanding union carriers allow only up to 7% of there freight hauled by rail or subservice carriers. Thats a lil' bit less than the 15-20 carriers that leave our barn .

Not accurate at all. Many have claimed numbers. It's simple to look up the contract and read it for yourself before you post.

For example, I believe we ( the board ) talked about ABF using rail. And they are eligible for 28% of freight to be moved by rail per the contract.

They pro union crowd is anti Con-way. This has nothing to do with going union. It has to do with grown men feeling helpless.

These guys don't want to make things better. They want to run this thing into the ground and blow it up.

The company had 28 percent negotiated years ago. They wanted it so badly put quickly realized that the silk purse was actually a sows ear.

I like the way you guys only care about trying to correct the people who's opinions aren't in line with your own.

Purchased transportation is 6%....
