Would like to hear the entire story of what happened.Ive worked at companies where it seems like they would fire you over anything but Estes does not seem to be one of them.
 
Yea.The guys name is Jason.We have a dispatcher named Jason,and imo,he is probably the best one up there.I was hoping it wasn't him but this happened 2 months ago,so I know it wasn't him.
I talked to one about a month ago,when an unforeseen situation came up.He put me on hold but before the line switched over I heard him say,"dumbass truckdriver".When he came back,I asked him about his comment.His reply was,"Oh,I wasnt talking about you"lol.....Sure you wasnt...*******.

See, you give a little power to some, and it goes straight to their azz.... And basically, they have no power at all.. You can refuse the load, if you have a legit reason and there's nothing he can do.. It really chaps their azz by the way.. I did it a couple of times when we would do the "1 Sunday A Month" bullcrap, and I thought one time Loretta was going to have a stroke.. "You can't do that".. "I'm reporting you".. You're gonna get wrote up".."Well just stay home then"... That was 12 years ago.. No talk to slip.. No write up.. No nothing.... Hey, the Saints were playing late, what was I suppose to do....LMAO.. Made my day...

You should report that to HR, there is no reason for that BS!!! It takes the whole team, I call mgmt *******s all the time but I have enough tact and respect not to let them hear it, I make sure the phone has hung up. That really isn't cool.

Yeah, those dispatchers are Wise Old Owls, according to them.. I left one Sunday.. Pulled a set of empties to Dallas... Hooked a Longview with 650# on it and an empty. pulled it to Longview.. Dropped it, picked up an empty set and come back home.. 613 miles and only pulled 650# 118 miles.. Now you tell me the company made money? "Dumbazz dispatchers"....

The "wise old owl" Im talking about is a newbie that seems lost most of the time.I just like doing my job in a drama-less fashion,going home and being done with it.The less they know of me,the better.Ive been called worse,by better.

Its hard to win that,"he said,no I didnt say"crap.

That's why I liked getting off of the 3&2 I had going to ATL, I didn't have to talk to CD on Sundays anymore.. As far as the "One Sunday A Month" thing, I thought was BS.. That just told me that they couldn't dispatch during the week..

LOL...I pulled a load once, when I was at FX on a round trip from CLT to Harrisburg Pa (layover) then to Richmond, VA,(didn't have key to gate) so pulled it back to Charlotte..about 1k miles total...that still cracks me up. The next day it went back to Harrisburg with somebody else..lol. I guess everybody has some genius dispatchers
 
The reason he was fired is because he had an attendance problem and was written up for it. He then filed harasment through HR and when they shot him down he filed through the employment dept. they had enough on him so he was terminated.

He deserved it

Then he should have been let go.. If my old azz can work there for 14 years and only miss 1 week of work because of sickness(and that's when I had my stint put in my heart) then everyone should be able to do it... Yes.. I'm a tough old cobb...
