Highlights from the "Freight News" mailed to Teamster members recently from the IBT...

"YRCW is still working out the kinks in their network and we are concerned their needed investment in rolling stock." said Tyson Johnson Teamsters National Freight Division Director. "The company's economic condition has improved but is not where it needs to be."

"The company continues to struggle, but there are some positive signs," Johnson said.

Should we trust Tyson's spin, or should we be reading between the lines for signals of another round of concessions?

you cannot cut your way to profits, sooner or later you must provide a service or product of value. bonuses and extra management do not provide value, most could not coordinate a circle j#@&.
i am not management, i cannot afford to chase away customers, i am not immune to layoff. my job depends on volume,my earnings on volume, not on whom i brown-nose.
as long as management finds the job they do to be inconvenient, an interription of their personal business, conducted on company time, and being drawn away from fantasy football to be a huge inconvenience, we will not make money. we will cheat to make the numbers, and this is all that matters, not customers, not safety, nothing but numbers.
no more concessions

Yep ,setting the table for more $$$$$ , and worst part is that they know the YES SHEEP will vote it in again !!!, so hell why not keep asking for more $$$$$ ???? it's means mo-money for BONUSES for them !!!! duh

Y'all need to start posting more Vwaggs, and while your at it, bring back brutus, stroud120 and turboJ.
Stroud120 is/was one funny man, I'm surprised turboj didn't reincarnate and return.

They will be coming after our healthcare next. Word behind the glass wall (Non Union employees) is they have to start paying for their health ins. All of it.

Heard today on the news that "the powers that be" in DC finally came out and admitted that ObamaCare will increase somewhere between 60 and 70 percent.. So you know good and well they are coming for that next, because of the cost of healthcare... I hope not, but I don't see any way around it...

Yes health care is next....that was the big concession for UPS(package)....you can bet they're coming for more. The people in the office at Holland had to start paying more already. Probly come knocking around Xmas time when money is needed the most would be my guess.

They have 15% and a pension from every union employee to invest.

Never had it to begin with, so, no- they don't have it to invest. They just 'didn't have to pay it', since it never existed, and if they had paid it, they'd have closed by now. It would mean they'd have paid you, but not their creditors.....

I think I have heard this before on here??? Or maybe it is just an echo?????

Apparently not enough. There are still thousands that still think they are giving money to the corporation instead of vice versa....

Maybe Jeff will add an 'auto reply' feature to the 'options' for just such situations....
