ABF | Welcome Back! Sound off, where and what you do!

Happy New Year to all you drivers. i have a question. i have been a casual for ABF for 2 yrs now. I work at 301 main barn. i have also worked at 104,003,234 as a casual. i know things are tough but i feel i have been passed over twice for getting hired. a man on the board in 104 quit and they hired a DHL driver off the street. now at 301 a man just retired and they are now using another casual because i was off for a total knee replacement. he is a owner operaterhauling cattle.there is a opening at 301 now.Is there anyone i can talk to to find out why i have not been hired? i have 26 yrs in teamsters and all qualifications needed for job. Can anyone help me here? Thank You and have a good day.

Is there anyone on here from the St.Louis barn on here? I was wondering if they will be doing anything soon as for as hiring? I am wanting to move back to St.Louis. I have been a casual for 2 yrs now with ABF.

Katrinka, I was casual for a year and then was lucky to get on the board with the introduction of a UE bid at my barn. I was told casuals are not a shoe in for a position when one opens. So I just worked my but off and it payed off. I don't know why they would pass you by with your experience. I have heard of this happening before though.

Laid Off [again]

Hi all - SnowShoe here out of 086. Got my lay-off call on Monday afternoon.:Pick-Me:

Oh, well ...:woohoo1:

Last time was off 3 months - hoping for about 2 months this time.

Take care all and be safe out there!

I have not seen it yet. I'm going to check it out and find out where they are. I just might have a "delivery" in that area and send your message!:whistling:
