What happen to dopie opie? He isn't even listed as a member anymore, or he change his name.

I think his life outside of Truckingboards was getting to busy for him to spend much time here.

Hopefully he'll be back some day

Methinks ADP isn't turning out to be the bed of roses he thought it was...... hey, Opie! No love lost, bub. We all know you're here..... sound off!

Who is this Dopie Opie?
I've seen many posts about this name.
I'm from UPS Freight but read most of the other forums.
I've seen this name here, and if someone on this thread wouldn't mind inlighting me to who this is I will say thank you.
But if you just want to keep this as your companys inside joke, sorry for asking.

I see one of your drivers all of the time at a Lowes store on my route,he's out of Syracuse NY.
He speaks very highly of your company, and enjoys working there.
We've talked about the Smith System.
I'm a new driver trainer for UPS Freight.
He says a driver trainer goes with his terminals drivers once a year for a refresher, than he photo copys his certificate, sends it to his personal vehicles insurance provider for a 10% discount for safe drivers.
Now I say this guys really thinking.

Dopie was managment with a level head. His ideas were different sometimes but impressed me as being intelligent about the trucking industry. I miss his posts:17:

Apostolic, if you would have been around during the first truckingboards forum you would have known Dopie Opie. D.O. was a sells rep for Red Star. He was apparently very tight with most of the Red Star drivers and keep them informed during the closure of Red Star. I've had many heated discussion's through-out the years about this crazy business with him. Apostolic I've read a lot of your post's. Your very interesting and enjoy your point of view. GRIZZ

Thanks a lot to my fellow posters for clearing your secret up.

I was on the original truckingboards believe it or not.
I had a different handle back than.
I used to be known as Retread.

When the strike against Overnite was over I thought the old truckingboard was over as well?

When I was told of the new truckingboard by a co-worker,who reads posts but doesn't write anything himself.

I tryed to log on with my old handle.
But it didn't work.

So seeing I'm an Apostolic Pentecostal Born Again Christian I decided to go with Apostolic.
I really don't remember very many handles from the first boards?
I do remember a gal from Overnites office out of Mem.,Tenn. she went by Darkstar.

You should try this guys!

I purchased 10 options, each cost me $1000 USD. I really didnt want to sell my options so
quick, although I could have, an made a few bucks if I did, I waited a bit, my rep called, let
me know what the markets doing, he told me that the market was poised for a full 3 pennies,
so I made the trade and sold all 10 options, made about 3K, not bad for a couple of weeks
of doin ::shit::. Ill do it again.

Boy, I guess I should not have used the handle "Opie" here. Opie has been my nickname since I was 14 years old.
