FedEx Freight | The return of the SURVEY

That's wishful thinking, my terminal voted no all these changes were supposed to take place, still waiting on these changes. I will give them credit the vacation policy was changed for the good.
Did you watch the video of our new leader at freight Mr. Ducker? He seems to be really people first to me. He spoke of many changes already in place such as the removal of the scorecard, the new vacation policy, the new tractor bid policy, the new road driver advisor positions, and a new attendance policy being finalized. Change has happened and more good things are coming.

Must be nice to be able to express your opinion through the survey!
As for the 3 centers that voted yes, the drivers aren't allowed to participate in the survey per the NLRB...by allowing the drivers to participate, it could be seen as a way to persuade employees, thus resulting in more ULP charges.
The office, shop, and dock employees are still allowed to participate, only the driver's voices have been silenced by the union!!
You are not allowed to express your opinion, you are only allowed to answer with 'canned" answers

A new video is said to be out. Should see it soon. Wonder if any results from the survey will be mentioned. Probably too soon. I for one appreciate the direct communication from the top. Anyone viewed it yet?

I watched the video it was Ducker talking about taking survey and other stuff didn't get anything solid from the video. imo

What? They don't treat you guys up there in Canada right? They don't ask for you alls opinion on issues?
They don't care what the contractors think because they genuinely believe that we're so well paid that we should deal with whatever the company tells us. We've been asking for a raise for almost three years and we keep getting the excuse that we're already paid a top rate while the dock isn't. They started deducting part of our pay for insurance and plates last year. We were promised a parity raise to make up for it...never happened.

When I leased on here, it was a good place to be if you ignored the politics. Now? The pay is within cents of some truckload carriers up here after deductions, and that's including billing for hooks, drops and shunts. It's getting to the point that it's not worth putting up with the BS anymore. They even have separate town hall meetings for the contractors so the employees don't have to hear our questions (read: so they can get away with ignoring us). It's ridiculous.

Has anyone had the meeting yet to share the results of the 2016 survey? The last Corporate communication video (May) made it pretty clear that we are supposed to. Historically there were meetings to discuss a plan of action, how to improve the lowest scores, maintain the higher ones, etc.

Yes we had it last month. Participation was up and score was basically the same for us. We were told that the important parts would be discussed each month along with the individual responses but have yet to hear anything else.

Like I said it is a report card, correct.
Like I said it is anonymous, correct.
Taking the survey is not something that is important on my list. When we finally vote and they deny us the "right" to fill out the survey I will not care because we would have already spoken with the vote. Last year we did not participate for some odd reason. Like Swamp said, if we could actually comment in a narrative format then it would carry more weight for me.
I agree they are useless without any narrative input. Its like being able to vote in Saddam ruled Iraq.

What good does the survey do? Complete waste of time. We answered them for years, low scores across the board for years. And all the company did was treat you worse and worse year after year. No improvements whatsoever. Raises declining, insurance skyrocketing, rules getting harsher and abusive. But... I did like the last survey I took for Fedex ..."Do you wish to represented by the Teamsters for the purpose of collective bargaining? YES or NO " That one they listened to and made some changes...
