FedEx Freight | fresh picked dollies

The only problem we've encountered with the west coast dollies/converters are the ones with the fifth wheel handle on the passenger side...the handle tends to seize up making them almost impossible for one man to drop out. Usually someone has to rock the truck/dolly back and fourth while a mechanic is spraying a lubricant and pulling on the fifth wheel handle with a dock plate handle just to get it to release.
The ones with the fifth wheel handle on the drivers side are just as good as the Walbash dollies.

And yes, you'd better eat your Wheaties if you plan on using one of those Great Dane dollies!
RR, west coast dollies with handles on passenger side are the oldest ones we own. They'll cycle out soon enough.

Let's hope....or send them all back west!
On a lighter note, I pulled back a brand new Walbash dolly today, it's a thing of beauty. The counter weight on the rear made lifting the tongue very easy, you can almost lift with one hand! Also, the grab handles made maneuvering the dolly easy and it also has places on both sides to hang the chains, allowing the handles to be used as handles.
Great design...finally!

Bring your own can of pb blaster or wd40 and spray the heck out of the linkages under your dolly ..Your hooking and unhooking troubles should be moot!!!!

I always park downhill and use a dock hook to drop those out. Those Canada dollies are HEAVY (39000xx numbered).

We have some that aren't. But, as most of our trailers are Great Dane, so too are most of our dollies. I like my heavy SOB. Rides right through the snow, can't feel it going over bumps. The newer Great Dane dollies are...very finely balanced. They're so ass-heavy that you might catch it in the chin if you accidentally lift it over center (like when you're hooking a set). I prefer Wabash dollies if I can't use an old heavy Great Dane, though. Very well balanced and not too heavy.
