DO THE MATH.... DO NOT SAY YOU ARE GIVING A PAY RAISE WHEN IN REALITY YOU ARE NOT GIVING A PAY RAISE YOU ARE ONLY GIVING A SMALL PERCENT TOWARD THE HIGH COST OF THE INSURANCE THAT IS INSANE!!!!! Theses guys will never understand it's not what you make, it's what you spend!!
We have guys who make $100K and are up to their eyeballs in debt and we have guys who make $50K and live debt free!!
I agree with the insurance, it's not the best but it's FAR from the worst!!

And you will never understand we have to compete with our competitors or we will get left behind. We are getting what we pay for with these new guys they don't do anything and could care less whether people get their freight or not. Take your buddy for example from up here a couple a weeks ago they gave him a peddle route he diidnt like so he pouted all day ended up bringing 5 stops back out of the 10 he had. lol

lol they will drag it out as long as you can. Does it really matter im pretty sure none of the 4 are bottom pay scale.
Crazy T, correct me if I'm wrong brother but if the company has given across the board raises except the organized barns then it is my understanding that is a violation for an NLRB charge filed on behalf of the union. You can't give a raise to one without the other not getting the entitlement also. If they drag it out a nice big fat retro check will be in stored for the 4 union facilities that have a voice now with due respect........

Purple rain, Purple rain........

You are correct. Anything else is just scare tactics.

No announcement at the 4 union barns. If negotiations start before Oct. 1 no raise period. Wrong again crazy. Lol

Please show me where either one of us said we wouldn't get the raise...keep spinning, you're only making yourself dizzy

Right above he is insinuating they are not. just more propaganda and lies from you all who are scrambling to come up with new lies to make your case.

No...he clearly said "IF negotiations start before Oct 1"...that is NOT a lie but rather fact!!
Now we both know negotiations won't start before then so yes, we'll probably get the raise....but stranger things have happened.

If it's so bad please Quit! Hate to see you work for such crappy wages and horrible insurance. After all I'm sure you are one of the super truckers that FedEx can't live without. Our insurance and deductible are not going up next year. Already been announced, but keep whining, you are the type of employee that makes the rest of us look bad. Been with FedEx 25 years and have loved it since I started. I work hard for them and they treat me great. That's all I can ask. You on the other hand need to move on. Go work for England or Swift. I'm sure then you can whine and cry about wages and benefits! Amazing!
Drivers with any amount of time here won't quit. I agree that they should move on if the pay rate and insurance is as pathetic as they claim, but they won't and there is a reason they won't. We get paid a good wage for what we do and the insurance isn't that bad. There is alot worse insurance out there with higher premiums and everyone here knows it. They won't quit because they are too scared they wont have it as good as it is here. Could it be better here? ABSOLUTELY but there are a lot worse jobs we could have for a lot less pay and we all know it. The majority of the ones that complain and spout doom and gloom about everything are the same handful that always do and they aren't walking away from it for a reason.

All I can say is that I see a trend. Everytime there's a raise, insurance goes up afterwards. I truly believe the company has under the table ties with Blue Cross Blue Shield or whom ever is the Administer for your state. They want u to think the health insurance has a policy increase but in reality the policy is still the same. They made a deal with the insurance company to collect the increase difference....which is probably identical to the rate increase difference of the raise that most just recently received. U catch my drift, Call me crazy for thinking like this, but I wouldn't pass by this sneaky company at no cost. Anything can be put on paper to look legit........

Thanks for your post. While I've only been here for a little over 3 years versus your 25, I too enjoy working here very much. I am amazed by the number of people that work here that have nothing good to say about the company. I think these guys feel it is somehow unmanly to acknowledge that we work for a good company, are well paid with good benefits. I don't know about those guys, but I have only been driving for 5.5 years and the last 2 I've been over 80k. There are not many companies that pay that well. If they think so, I wish the whiners would go work for them.

FedEx is self insured. Anthem/Cigna (soon to be the same) provide the network (hospitals, medical groups, physicians) and administer the claims payouts that Fedex provides the monies for. No conspiracy. FedEx does choose how "rich" our benefits are because claims are paid directly by Fedex.
If you worked for a fully insured employer (insurance company pays monies for claims) and get the run around, you can call HR and have them put pressure on the insurance company. With our situation, you can call HR and they have more power to get your claim paid because they can decide to pay your claim or help settle whatever situation you have.

The reason people with seniority won't quit has little to do with what a great company it is that they work for and much more to do with having to go to the bottom and start all over getting the garbage freight and hours that new hires have to put up with.
