Got some barbecue before leaving for the West Coast yesterday. Feels good to be appreciated, even if it's only once a year!

Wally World guardshack gave me some dawgs yesterday! I said, "is this for ALL drivers or just Walmart guys and your regular LTL drivers?!" I can't imagine them feeding all those bastards!
 
We used to get a weeks worth of appreciation now its you get some food on 1 afternoon. Were sooooo appreciated as Drivers. Now go make your Deliveries and pickups make us some more money . Management knows that all the drivers will just sit there and shove the food in and never look back. This is why management can just push us around. Stop being Scared and Speak up.

I didn't realize it was so difficult to go do your job after having a free meal. What exactly should we stand up and say? There something else you want besides not having to pay for lunch?

Some people can't be happy with anything. A lot of carriers show their appreciation by saying "Thanks for showing up today, guys." I'd sooner take a burger I didn't have to pay for than get nothing at all.
 
We had burgers and hot dogs. Ours was employee appreciation week not driver appreciation. Don't know why, know one said, figured someone complained on the dock or office. Let's see if they change secretary week to employee appreciation week. lmao tired of all this politically correct BS.
