XPO | If things don't work-out what will you do?

Not a bad plan..It seems freight is picking up. Their are ads for drivers all over. Thought about doing that myself, getting on with Fedex Ground

I'd probably lease a truck from Penske instead of buying. Lease payments might be a little more, but they are tax deductible and if the truck breaks, its their problem.

Wow what a pay cut. Good luck getting with FedEx Ground. Hope you got a big enough bank account to buy out someone’s contract to get a good enough run.

In my area, there was a guy selling his two trucks and the FedEx Ground agreement that he had. I didn't look into it too deep, but the opportunity does pop up at times. If I remember right, he was retiring and selling his equipment. Guaranteed work.

There is a lot of this going around. The boomers are starting to retire.

Go work for Fed Ex Freight or haul gasoline, or deliver potato chips, or bread, or cardboard boxes, or pock up garbage. Maybe drive a bus. I have a CDL, there are lots of options.

Haul rocks, pull car parts, run rental equipment, pull steel - ( pipes, sheets no coils for me thanks ) or even a little mom and pop where I will truly be a valued and appreciated human being.

I'd get out of driving altogether. Had a few chances but it was hard to pull the trigger with 12 years in even though I'm only 34..
If things work out and we continue to do JSP which I can't believe XPO would tinker with you could 30 years in and only be in your 50s. Thats awsome.
