The number 1 mission of the Teamsters Union Officials is to keep the dues coming in. So, they do not want to close ANY union company. That would cause less revenue to the International. They will push ANT contract as long as it keeps the doors open. von.

The system to join the union is corrupt from the getgo.
Whose bright idea was it to require membership and benefits by only majority in a company vote?
Per company.

...as if they never could manipulate it down to very few companies.

They most probably knew when this system was put into place.
The companies join their lobby with no hassle whatsoever. They mail a check and join.
Want more cheap labor and immigrants? Join your lobby and government will listen and help.
Want more hours for employees and less pay?
Join the lobby.
Want automated trucks?? Join a few Lobby groups.


Want to join the union?
Hire on at the existing places voted in 100 years ago.
Or try to get a union in a new place and go to war every minute of every day while still doing normal life and job stuff...with legal union busting harrasments on the job and at home...maybe the politicians or others from busines lobby groups will help fight you.
Maybe you get union in in a year or 2 and maybe a contract in 3 or maybe your coworkers with company help decertify before contract is even done.

Pretty obvious sham and abuse on American workers.

When RoadWay and yellow merged, it was about putting all the apples in one basket . Easier to "Kill Off " the Teamsters . Just my opinion . Management HATES !!! Unions ! Years ago , a man was top of his trade to be in the Union . Now ???
