Oh, now that's not true at all. Are you sure your not overreacting a little? Terminal 309 has the most intelligent, respectful, and patient management personnel in the fleet. Our company is in desperate need for more of their professional leadership skills. They always taken time out of their busy schedule numerously to help a driver out, when needed.

What is upsetting to management is when drivers can't fill out their paperwork illegibly. They can almost safely drive a truck, but their writing skills are awful. Half the time we can't even read the :::shit:::. It slows our job down, and the company down. Another reason why those dash-cams will help the company out. The drivers will just handle their responsibilities of driving, and we will manage the rest, with the help of the new technology. There are only two ways for a driver to learn, and that is they either accept it, or be forced into it.

The only people that get written up are the employees that abuse the system. The employees that project those unhealthy/unsafe behaviors, which will be handled professionally under the new technology, and the CSA 2010 Wellness Program, soon. Of course, after they receive their Biometric Screening. IMO, thank goodness already. Now if anyone would want me to supply a list of some of those Biometric applications, I would be "MORE" than happy to post the links.

People have to remember that most employees out of 309 are lucky that their honored with great leadership potential to work with both company and union representation. Think about it, not many people get that chance in a lifetime. Remember, always work where people are welcomed to work. The employees that want to cause trouble, will become a passanger on a Greyhound Bus, back home. However, if it is an employee from their home domicide, the letter will be applied, or if it proceeds with more dangerous behaviors, they will escorted off the property.

Yellow ruined everything they touched except Saia, ROADWAY always had cash and lost money once in my 24yrs. We financed and started what is now Fed Ex frt etc. owned EVERYTHING and made good investments. Zollars took over and now own nothing but DEBT that will screw TEAMSTERS PENSIONS past and future! You guys wanted this co. to fail and now it will. (stop crying and do your jobs)

I hate to disagree but as a visitor, I have been well treated by 309 dispatch and the few supervisors I have come in contact with. My biggest concern there is the general apathy I have seen from some on both sides of the equation in some of the other departments there.

Be honest, Roadway had the cash because there were many drivers that were more than willing to give up the clock time. I witnessed many of those transactions taking place, and they still do it. The dash-cams will put a stop to that too. Because, if those drivers really want to make things right, and they don't want their clock time, anymore. The drivers could simply take their clock-time cash out of their check, and put their money into the dispatcher tip jar that will be placed in front of the dispatch window, soon. So drivers will not be able to wave their hand and say, "Don't worry about" anymore.

I can tell you my checks where bigger then, then they are now.
The Galen Roush Scholarship was nothing to sneeze at either.

sounds like your the one crying

You Yellow guys sure do cry a lot.

This "is" true, but we come prepared and just pull out our hankies and keep working.
Blue shirts all have to run to their bozzman and get him to take off his panties to wipe their tears away and blow their noses in the crotch!
Sniff em up boys!!!:biglaugh:

This Roadway driver had to merge from a Roadway terminal to a Yellow terminal. I spent six months working with the Yellow Dogs before I retired. All I can say is the Dogs treated me really well.

Yellow was driver friendly..big mistake. A big happy family leads to a break-down in discipline. That leads to a break-down in service. One soon learns that all that counts is what you do wrong at the Bad Big R. If you stand toe to toe with the Bad Big R you will be taking standing eight counts because are they definitely out to get you

Would like to hear the details of how "We financed and started what is now Fed Ex frt", never heard this one before.

A big happy family leads to high morale and a positive attitude, which works great for productivity. Never forget.....a happy employee is a good working employee. However, this "family" atmosphere that I'm talking about requires strong management personnel. They have to be able to separate their "friendships" with doing business. Their ultimate responsibility is to protect the company's bottom line. If the mgt. have the proper communication skills, they can maintain the level of respect from their employees, while still watching out for the company's best interest. They have to be willing to step on a "friends" toes on occasion when the company's bottom line is in jeopardy. Then with proper communication skills, they will explain to the employee why that decision had to be made, which will make sense to the employee and keep the relationship solid. In most cases, there is no excuse for the abuse of the employees. Good communications with the employees keeps things positive......and represents a "team" atmosphere.

The current leadership has chosen the "strong arm" approach.......and you can see the current results of that approach.
