Exactly right.I think that the sentiment is that the competing entities are waiting for Yellow to fold so that they can take their freight. I don’t think he meant that he WANTS to see other Union drivers lose their jobs. At least, that’s MY take on his comment. Maybe he’ll reply to clarify.
My comment was an observation. There are posts on some of the forums of companies hiring drivers they don't need. The IBT is blocking the COO that Yellow needs to survive. Time is running out for Yellow and the vultures are circling. There will not be 30,000 out of work. I was with Preston when they shut down without warning. Nearly all of us found jobs with other companies very quickly. It was the lower and middle management folks who had trouble finding work. The freight still needs to be moved and will find its way onto other trucks.
