It also doesn’t help the the McKees Rocks bridge is under construction and down to 2 narrow lanes. Avoid during rush hour.

45's were banned in Pa back when Ryder acquired Hoover Express.
We only had 45s, about 2 weeks later they were approved.

Yeah remember when PA wouldn't allow doubles too? Many a shuttle run from Conneaut, Ohio to Ripley, NY across PA with a single pup! Those were the days!

And don't forget those special CF units with the sliding fifth wheel that let the lead trailer slide up over the tractor frame making that unit a straight job pulling the tail trailer across the short section of I-90 in PA between Ohio and the NY Thruway.

This is a shot of the CF Pennsylvania Doubles. This was a tractor with stretched wheelbase that allowed a pup trailer to hook to the cab. It was essentially a straight truck and pup allowing CF to use the doubles that were the basis of their trailer fleet.
