4/12/2010 YRC Worldwide Expects Positive Earnings in Second Quarter
Less-than-truckload giant YRC Worldwide said it expects a stronger second quarter, with positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in the pipeline.

Didn't he promise all of his employees on the last 5% wage concession if they would give that up he would show a profit on the following quarter? :poke:
 
It was a year ago maybe sooner Zollars said YRC would have positive cash flow by second quarter 2010. They posted a profit 4th q..

You know if it wasn't for the debt for equity swap there would have been no profit right?

If that didn't happen and if they didn't reduce operating expenses by hundreds of millions they would have liquidated. The Great Recession has caused the company to use the downturn to make massive layoffs. The reality is that many of the jobs that have been lost will never return. The only way those that survived the cut is by settling for much lower pay and benefits. Hopefully it's only temporary. It's goin be a long decade

I have no dog in the fight nor opinion as I don't work for YRC....
When I post here, I only work for Truckingboards and my job is to get as many people reading Truckingboards as possible
 
Lets look at this objectively.
1. 2nd quarter is usually better than first quarter due to time of year.

2. Earnings are positive.
