Thought I would restart the old 653 Thread. We still have a lot of things going on down in Charlotte and this is a great place to post them!

In the past few weeks two office workers have transfered to 653 from 671. Also, five janitors will be reporting from 671 to 653. It will be good to have union janitors, again! DS.

We also put 9 more back on this week...that brings the ACTIVE seniority on the dock up to 163...that's roughly + 61 YTD....not sure of numbers for yard and road..

Hey I didn't know that.....maybe Lerch,Bill and Jackie would consider coming back also....anyone heard from them ?

I guess this could go in the YRC=POS thread as well................. Was told they had Joe S., (Who was told back in Feb or March his services were no longer needed) come in for a interview the other day. They said he was offered his old job back, Switcher Cord. if he started over. He had 26 years in before they let him go....................

Hey slick......Jackie emailed me and said he was coming. I heard that David W. may come also. I don't know about lurch or Bill. I guess we'll find out soon..............oh and how about JPM putting Jimmie in the fence!!! DS.

Hey Mike.........in your opinion do we need another switch cord.? I know switching gets backed up sometimes, etc. but shouldn't they sups in linehaul or the dock be able to handle that? Just wondering..........DS.

Have to agree with you DS....... I don't think we need another one, Heard Tim who is in there now would be coming back to the dock......You have to remember back in Jan and Feb when we had 24 switchers there was 5 Switching Cord. Now the list is back up to 42 with only 2 managers.......... The job still was able to get done when Linehaul and the Dock was in charge.......... Don't know why they changed it back.......... Maybe some of that extra money they are making.....

I noticed yesterday that supervisor Carl was back on the dock. I have heard that a couple more supers were being rehired. Just wondering if they have to start over or pick up where they left. DS.

Heard they are transfering Jason H from 615 to 653 to help you guyz out down there. Said he can't wait to be the rebirth of the "Walking Eagle".

;)well he has no real position here, went from TM to a glorified clerk now as the new guy in charge has turned this place around. Can't see them keeping him here with his salary doin what he is doin now. Had him so worried he had a security camera put in front of his office to buzz people in.
Guess he thought we going to do a dock drive by on him on the forklifts.
