FedEx Freight | 800 Line

just wondering. Is it actually confidential or do they want your name facts dates etc.?
It is anonymous if you choose to have it as such. They will not ask for your name, and the report will be taken using non-specific descriptors such as "he/she" or "him/her". You're complaint should include names of the parties who are the subject of the complaint and the dates of the occurrences in question.

Both are useless as it goes to your local HR person who is probably buddies with your local TM and they have a good laugh and put in a dog and pony show for the employees to make it appear like they care and then it’s back to the same old thing.
You are right on the money with that statement.Hr and management are very good at putting on shows and then some way it turns out to be the employees fault. Spin it off management team as fast as they can.

I still would call the Hot Line Just to get them all fired up. They love to get us all pissed turn the table and do the same. Let them wonder who's dropping the dime. It would be fun to sit back and laugh at them.

That's not entirely true.

The difference between calling H/R directly and calling the Alertline is potentially huge. The call to H/R is often just a conversation. For matters of significance (or not) the Alertline creates a paper trail, as well as the ability to direct your concern to specific levels of leadership, specific departments, etc. Not only does your local H/R advisor get the task of looking into it, their boss, and their boss's boss get the report, as well as the follow up on WHAT WAS DONE. All above board, in my experience.

Some topics, like simple policy clarification, are fine for just calling H/R. Others, like safey, or accounting, with a real risk of retaliation, the Alertline is the way to go.
