When my wife & I saw this on our local news, we both agreed it must have been his time to go.
For him to be turning into his assigned State Police barracks.
Like any other day reporting to work,to be killed turning into your place of employment.
However on this certain day,your life is taken,we just never know what a day may bring.
It is really very sad to hear about something so bazaar,may his rest in peace.
