I know tough decision you just got 4 weeks vacation too but your young enough to do 25yrs at UPS similar situation don't like sleepers but top rate will be over 90cpm in 4yrs. I like YRC and the people I work with but I don't see them ever giving back the full pension no 401k match either or option to put our contribution into a 401k or IRA. Seems like YRC just treading water no growth or increase in profits. It's hard to start over though be on the bottom.

This is the side of Amazon no one sees. It is no secret they basically control everything in the delivery,but claim no liability,because the driver works for a contractor, not for them. There have been numerous states that have been in court fights with FedEx ground and others over this issue. Bezo’s isn’t a billionaire for being dumb. Just using people,and tax law loopholes... I personally do not buy online from them...

That's why Amazon will never buy a trucking company just use 3rd parties and independent contractors.

I don't know Jimmy.
Trumps into tariffs....the old school GOP way of defending our industries. Looking out for our citizens work and standards.
It's like a regulation.
States should have also been able to defend their citizens work.
The nation is responsible for inside its borders.
So too are the states....and the counties.
States with little work when regulated came in and destroyed businesses which could not be defended.
Interstate commerce clause or whatever should consider the economic damage also.
With no rules it costs.
Welfare bills go up etc. Alotbof things could get worse costing more tax dollars.
The only ones really winning are the banks and big investors.
A lot of mom and pop shops closed.
Only corporations make it.....not individuals but groups of investors make a corporation.

We disagree, 180 degrees. Life goes on....

Tariffs aren’t GOP ideas. Protectionists are almost always Democrats. Trump is a Democrat in the Republican Party, and most of the “ordinary workers” that voted for him were Dems who felt abandoned by their party. (That included you, my man... you changed Parties to vote for him. You voted for Trump, not the Republicans...)

Jackson. Lincoln....GOPs who ran on tariffs. Dems were the slave owners. South didn't like Lincoln's Tariffs. Large reason for Civil war.
 
Trump also was in Pat Buchanan's psrty. Pat will give you real history. Not FOXNEWS Glen Beck history.....tariffs have always been GOP policy. Dems were always about free trade...Cordell Hull....look him up...his ideals took over both parties.....and now the states and cities are broke and the nation is trillions in debt....you don't give your work away for nothing...and that's what you teach.
The ones who wanted free trade were plantation owners.....they also like slaves...we're all slaves now...till the debt is gone..tariffs paid the whole federal budget...income tax replaced tariffs......so we pay with our jobs and wages....and pay the tax bill too....and it can't be paid.

This part I agree with, since I’m for the Fair Tax or Flat Tax, whichever we could get to eliminate the Progressive Tax and the IRS. Tariffs worked as long as the USA had no Welfare type Programs, and virtually no income tax. The USA can’t function with both high taxation, and high tariffs.

Look how long ago that article was..I think he was running against Clinton. We wouldn't have such a mess if Pats policies were enacted way back then. Trumps personality and talents with people and business finally brought it l to the light. Media propaganda pushing their corporate donors interests...their politics. IF Democrat's win in 2020 you lose your employer paid health insurance. Your income taxes will rise to 50% or so. You then pay a VAT (Value Added Tax) to pay for your free healthcare.
In Socialist Europe there are virtually no exemptions to VAT taxes, you pay an extra 21-24% more for every product or service.
The good news as DemoKKKrats say, it's free.....
Well at least YRC may get healthy from a deal like that.... You will be poorer...
