Word is T-Force sold almost 1000 trailers to Saia, anyone have any info? Thanks....
I believe it. Half our yard is rented premier, barnum, and Dart trailers.
I believe most are 28' pups.. Dolly pool is low too.The best trailers in most break bulk terminals are the Leased / Rented air -ride 53's.
Haven't seen in the Metroplex or Houston area.Word is T-Force sold almost 1000 trailers to Saia, anyone have any info? Thanks....
If the price was right, not much to a 26' trailer...Does Saia really want that junk??
Maybe we do road trains.Makes financial sense... all they need is dozens of tandem axle tractors at every terminal to haul these vans
I'd do it for free just for the fun of it!Maybe we do road trains.
That will be the day I missed out on. a big 4 and quarter kitty on a 18 against half a million pounds of wriggling trailers back there. Say 5 of them by 5th wheel B train style. They better pay me 10.00 a mile for all that trouble.
And injury from dollyThere not using sets anymore. All 53' trailers for line haul. Makes a lot of financial sense. No more Dollys, you cut your registration, insurance and upkeep in half.
Plus millions in labor for drop and hooks.

As much grease was on PIE jiffs, they could never rust.Any jiff still around is probably rust welded to the tractor
