Remember when the IBT said that ABF is not in the same boat as YRC, yet a 15% concession good for the duration of the contract. Yes the pension is not in "THIS" package, remember the first YRC package.
If this has concession is going to happen then why are we taking a bigger cut (wage wise) than YRC? We are being asked for 15% while YRC gave 10% and 5%. That's not the same thing:

YRC: $2,000 x 10%=$200 making your new earnings $1,800
$1,800 X 5%=$90 making your new earnings $1,710

ABF: $2,000 X 15%=$300 making your new earnings $1700

If you do the math YRC gave back 14.5% off the original earnings while we are being asked for 15%. In this earnings example we give back an extra $520 in year one compared to YRC.
Your math is wrong. The 5% is not based on the 10% earnings, it is 15% of $2,000, just like you are being asked. We are taking the same cut.

And I'm quite sure they have more on hand than they are showing on the books as well, hell I can make my checkbook say anything I want it too

By my figures, they still have 150 million on cash reserve. Did you notice that Tyson or the company's not mentioning this. We are being railroaded boys and girls!
BUT...they had over $300 M over a year ago.....the reserves are getting smaller......kk

You may be right but I never saw it explained that the additional concession would be recalculated on the original earnings at YRC.

Before I would give up 15% again, the management from TM and up should give up 50%. Then let's see what they think having their throats cut.
Yes sir it sure was. After the last 5% was taken it was automatic that it went back to the original earnings. I get to see this every week taken out of my check. (they love to show this to us every week. Keeps a running total of just how much I get to give back because of someone else's mistake)
Yes....read your IBT Constitution....2.5 hours per month rate....kk
i worked for abf for 22yrs. retired now and really don't have a say in the matter. if i were going to give back 15% you would think your dues would go down by the same amount. nohere have i seen this. yrcs dues didn't go down
yes....THE YRC DUES WERE REDUCED BY 15%....read your IBT Constitution....2.5 hours per month rate...if that is reduced by 15%...then so is your dues....KK

In The Philly Supplement, its $23.68 or 24.68 for a UE

KK I need to know something from you YRC folks. At the end of the year when you got your W-2 what amount did you have to claim on your taxes? Was it the full amount or the reduced amount? If it was the full amount I dont think the company or the IBT should feel its right for me to pay the taxes on the companys money. There Taking it from me let them pay the taxes!! the only fair way I see this thing to be is just pay me at the 85% rate and get rid of all this other BS there trying to feed me

Someone told me that Regional VP Phil New was at Altoona the other night and TOLD those men that they had BETTER approve this deal. That does not sound like either a professional attitude or concern for our situation. IF it's true, and I say IF, I have just lost a lot of respect for the man. Anyone form that terminal here on the board?

There are meetings scheduled Friday and Saturday at 051 where someone from Ft. Smith is coming to tell us the same CRAP. For a company that is claiming money problems they sure have spent a lot to get us to roll over and give back. I know that DVD wasn't free nor was the 61cents it cost to mail it to every employee. I wonder if they are traveling for free on these meeting trips they are taking. I kinda doubt it. Hey ABF, you got my vote, it's HELL NO!!!

IF, this concession passes ( I am voting NO) (IBT, seems to have sold us out) what will be the rate of pay for vacation earned in 2009 & sick days (2010-UNUSED ) ?

THANKS
