Benton Global is closed for good.

Tried to schedule a pickup with them this past Friday and they had a Wilson dispatch there at their terminal taking pickups, stating they would honor their Benton pricing and pickup their freight. But Wilson still didn't show for pickup.

So Benton is closed finally. This was Atlanta Area.

I hated to hear the news. Wonder what straw broke the camels back? Anyone know the history of this operation?

All that I heard was they were concentrating on the container side. But also they did have the lowest rates in the biz for local pallet rates. DTI fell to this same fate also, but they sold before things got bad enough. But maybe someone else can chime in that actually works for them.
