Bernie Sanders fix good for everyone??

I'll shut up and let you and Puff blame the union while the republicans continue to destroy the middle class
BModelMack, I apologize, I haven't read enough of your posts to put you in Puff Driver's union hating group. I have been reading his negative posts on TB for over 10 years. Regardless of the topic it's always the same. He blames the unions or the democrats for everything wrong in America.

Yes I guess you're right. A 62% rather than a 65% cut is the lesser of the 2 evils. I'll shut up and let you and Puff blame the union while the republicans continue to destroy the middle class
Republicans will continue to destroy the middle class until the opposition party has the backbone to stand up to them And we should not send money to the opposition party until they get that backbone.

What would be the opposition party? I'm guessing that it would be the Democrats, which I kind of like but they haven't done us any good lately either.

Which is why candidates like Donald Trump and Ben Carson are running. People are tired of the old political, can't get anything done establishment in Washington. We need to elect new candidates with new ideals. The Bush's and Clinton's need to step aside.

I can't disagree with you on that. But I feel the Kline-Miller Amendment would have been much worse if democrat Miller hadn't tried to fight for us. I may be wrong but that's my gut feeling

I could've sworn you told me to keep politics out of this....

I think you have me confused with someone else. I don't remember telling anyone what not to post.
You didn't say not to post. You said that mine contained politics , and that yours that I responded to , where you were blaming things on repubs, didn't.

That doesn't help me to remember what post you are referring to. If you would show me the post then maybe I can respond to it.

About three in a row on page two. Post #s don't show on my phone. You called Repubs opposing you your bill partison, but implied Dems supporting your bill were not.

I think you are putting words in my mouth. How does my calling republican non support for KOPPA as being partisan equate to your post?
I could've sworn you told me to keep politics out of this....

Why would I tell you to keep politics out when I said it was all political? I came to that conclusion after reading Nyhan's comment that KOPPA wouldn't get republican support.

Democratic Sen Elizabeth Warren wants to give every senior citizen and disabled veteran $580. But she says the republicans won't go for it.. Is that partisan politics or just conservative ideology?
The cost of the bill would be offset by ending a tax "loophole" that allows businesses to write off performance-based executive compensation. Republicans control Congress and are unlikely to support the legislation.

It's Socialist partisanship to say it won't happen because Repubs won't betray their beliefs and values.

Congress has the role of being charged with responsible stewardship. Can't give everything to everyone. The nation is broke and beleagued with billions of problems more pressing than ours. We have a somewhat solution. Without cuts the whole thing collapses. I see YOU as the partisin activist, not those who won't jump us to the front of the line. Besides you aren't even in this pension. I am.

What's with the you and your? Shouldn't it have been we and our? Isn't your pension going to be cut also? You know the one you claimed you had to sue TENJ in order to get.

Since there isn't a line item veto it was all or a government shutdown. You would really be screaming about that one wouldn't you? Obama shuts down the country to help union retirees. Go ahead and knock the union for supporting Obama the lesser of the 2 evils. Whatever he has done to or for labor is better than what we would have gotten from Romney.
The teamsters has allowed this to occur. Their failure to organize any carriers as hundreds went out of business allowed the contributions to into teamster pensions virtually end. I believe some funds have 4 members accepting benefits for every contribution member. A recipe for disaster
