Let’s switch gears and ask who has the best shops in the system. We have some really good mechanics in our shop! Have a couple of trailer mechanics that really go the extra mile to get you out in the outbound lane. Let’s hear how everyone else’s shop is.

No shop at my center. But EFH and IND do a good job.

All shops I would expect, try to keep the equipment moving. At our shop, parts supply vendors have become a major weakness. Just sayin

Efh, and Ind are good. Kcy was my favorite. They love to change tires, and I like new shoes in the winter.

I take mine to the Walmart shop so I know it will only be 2 weeks vs 1-2 months on the dead line .

The mechanics in our shop are good guys, the problem is there is never any parts n stock. We had a road tractor set in front of a shop door for over a week because it had a blown out drive tire (which the set had been on one whole day) because the tire truck only ran on certain day of the week and they wanted a new recap to match it. Wiper blades, headlights, marker lights etc....

Left my assigned truck at the shop last week on Thursday, because of the derate. They haven't even looked at it yet..... cough cough POS center...

Anyone remember what they called the Memphis tune up? I don't recall the cost, but it was good for several MPH. Fast enough that someone messed up and arrived way too soon on their run. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. That ended that.

The shops I have been to seem to be decent, mechanic wise, but all have the same fedex issues. No parts, management won't let them keep much stock; poor management + poor compensation = poor moral. They are like the drivers sick of the fedex bs.

For FXF to have only vendors do work and get rid of their shops would be the end of FXF. There's no way they would survive.

I put lots of trailers out of service because of tires. If it looks like it had too much fun in Tijuana, it's going out of service.

I was at Costco last night and they have plenty of tires . I think I'm going to start dropping trailers there for service .

Make sure they put drive tires on the trailer and trailer tires on the drive axles! That's how we roll!
