No one seems to know what the policy is on the rebid. I've always thought if you were put on medical leave and can't start your run the day the run starts, you're not eligible to take that run. Anyone know for sure?

If you’re off on FMLA you can bid. The guidelines for bid runs doesn’t have this spelled out but the FMLA guidelines do. They actually say you can bump when you return but most of the time you just bid and start the run when you return.

Ok thanks! We were trying to get this straight for a driver who's run got turned into linehaul. He was pushed back behind someone on medical leave that may never come back. Happened to him once before. A combo driver ran the run he wanted all year because of a driver out on medical leave. When his medical leave ended, he went on disability and retired

Once the FMLA protection period ends, they’re not required to hold your run but there is language in the policy that allows management discretion.
