I have some questions on bid rules

1 Are they written down somewhere?
2 Are they different per terminal or region?
3 if you are not working when bid happens when you come back what spot do you take? { off on medical or fmla}
if there is a bid run available do you take the bid or extra

Just be happy if they got work for ya at this point driver,, there going to be a lot of shuffling drivers around in the next month to keep things stable with senior drivers,,

In Indy it's done by seniority. Depending on how long you're off they let you bid and hold the run until you're back. If you're going to be off an extended amount of time you go to the extra board when you return until the next bid. I take a schedule over the extra board for the consistency and an assigned tractor.

Lol bid rules. It's a free for all, up to every terminal. The head of Linehaul down in corporate seems to think we all bid every year between Christmas and New year's. As it appears furloughs are going to continue they're going to have to creative and make moves on the fly. So most terminals normal bidding process are probably going to be out the window for a while.

We're bidding a month early in Indy because of the Lafayette and Brownsburg terminals. Other than that it's a normal bid process.

I wasnt questioning wether I had work, I do what I'm asked to do. Was merely asking about the way bid works when someone is off work and does not bid with everyone else. Does the driver end up with a open bid run or extra board? just curious

Ask again when times are normal,, no need for u be snapping back at me. No one gonna worry about you getting a bid right now when you coming back to work,,, you most likely be extra board until freight is back to normal. Each terminal different ok

scm will make those decisions on when and why to bid, some terminals bid twice a year some once but changes a lot, the last couple bid cycles have been yearly so it seems more organized.
