it seemed like forever to me
Ya, I bet. Technological isses frustrate the heck out of me. I have spiked more than one phone off the floor.
My technological skills only go as far as the on/off button.
After that, everything is over my head.[/QUOTE]
I literally thought that because I tried linking a pic fifty times over and over, some how over loaded the network and they shut ME off!!!
Only on the floor model...
Soo, you got a reset?
I only work 50 hours per week so a reset doesn't affect me any.
And I don't know what time this server went down or exactly when it came back up, so it doesn't matter. I sleep at wierd times.
It seemed like it was down for several days, even though it wasn't. My crazy work schedule made it seem like it though.
I have wifi but i hard wire most of the computers I use... My routers have 1000 mb ports and I get about 950 up and down ...
ISP's like to sell really fast internet because they know most people don't have the equipment to get those speeds... I do and get my moneys worth...
If you have 300mb internet but only 100 mb ports you can't get 300 mb's hard wired... If you have an a/c router you can get higher wifi speeds but I prefer hard wired with cat 6 cable
When buying a router ignore what they say the speeds are just xheck if they have 1000 mb ports aka gigabyte router
Must be heaven
its fast but you can only get as fast as it can be sent to you so its overkill at times.
On the internet you are only as fast as your slowest hop
I haven’t been a member all that long, what happened in 2006? I like to go back from time to time and read the old posts, it’s very good info and I have noticed it only goes back to 2006. Very good info through the years. I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly.
in 2006 servers were expensive and space was low and money was tight... I had a crash and I panicked and destroyed the database ...Things were also a bit harder to understand back then. Basically rookie mistakes in a nutshell
I am older now and I don't get excited anymore except when I make a dumb mistake of not having a more recent backup.
This was not to bad this time, we only lost maybe 100 new registrations in that time period and a couple thousand posts give or take but after a week or so no one will ever know that happened
here is what
Truckingboards looked like in Jan 2007
Wow very neat. It’s amazing how many carriers have fallen off the wagon since then, it’s very sobering looking at that. Thanks for the link! This will consume several more hours of my time! Lol
oh yea that site will consume you for many hours :)
Jeff, I remember back when
Truckingboards was just a long list of people posting. You have grown the site to what it is today. Keep on trucking,
Sir thanks for what you do. I realize it isn't worth it for you, but I was able save pg 1 of my thread about Central Transport via Google cache.
Sooooooo,is it under your hat or not?
If the money doesn't get to Russia on time It's lights out
Thanks for the update and keeping TB around for us
