I'm at the bottom of the city board and my work day is something similar to this, call or wait for call starting at 6am, most generally told to call back at 10am, and then most generally told to call back around 1pm to get a 3pm start time for the outbound dock. Averaging around 4 hours a day dock work. Now my question is under this new 90/10 contract wording, if they call me in my understanding they have to pay me a full 8 hours, is this correct? Someone explain.

The key wording is “when put to work “ they only owe you 8 hours if they bring you in

I'm not sure how this will help the bottom of the board on city P&D. We have senior guys swinging 12 hour days and bottom guys if lucky enough to work getting 4 hours. Will be asking the BA.
