Central states retirees are in real danger of having their pensions slashed to 1/3rd of what they now receive or expect to receive as the Central states fund is in serious financial trouble. However Western States retirees enjoy an excellent pension , are well funded and have no worries about their future. Surely the solution is to combine the funds so all teamsters can enjoy a safe and prosperous retirement. Yes , it would hurt the Western plan a bit , maybe a lot but , after all , we are BROTHERS and SISTERS right ? Surely we would all make the necessary sacrifices to keep our BROTHERS and SISTERS out of poverty ?? How about it , my BROTHERS and SISTERS ?

I know my brother or sister would not sit in their homes and eat steak and drink wine while my family was thrown out of my house to live in a cardboard box under a bridge through no fault of my own , we would all eat hamburger and drink beer and share the sacrifice. Thats what brothers and sisters do. Otherwise ****can this brother and sister crap because it is fake and meaningless.
What world do you live in these days? In this day and age it's dog eat dog I'm sorry to say, not that I condone it though. Now days you get people being mugged in broad day light and people avert their eyes or walk the other way. Sorry, feeling a little pessimistic today, I wish it wasn't so, if everybody would just pay it forward it would be a lot better world!!
As much as I might entertain the idea of sharing the WSPF wealth, the other 190,000 members that outnumber us, a mere 10,000 in the trucking minority, would not be easily swayed.

How come no one in central states pension wanted to pay the WESTERN PEOPLE the same wage as the Master Freight people on the EAST COAST but you see the Western has a better retirement pension you want to take it from the western states people.
Get real you put it to the western states people when you had a chance on wages and would not pay them the same as master freight like USF Reddaway and now you see their pension is doing better and you all want to be brothers and sisters and still make more money $$$$ then them in USF.
You all that agree with this crazy idea which will never fly are very selfish, self centered people that just think they should have something they never even paid into it.
I am sure that Western States will let you start at the bottom and work in if you wish to come over and join USF and the Union would Welcome you.
That is much more than you offered USF Reddaway when you help and over powered their vote for same wages as Master Freight.

Oh, by the way USF is hiring or at least trying to hire more drivers in the bigger yards. I know cause I see the sign posted in front of their yard when I go down that way.

Good idea in theory, but, it wouldn't be good for Western States if YRC goes under, since, they would have the additional burden of carrying the already troubled CSPF.
YRC stopped paying into Western States in 2009. The measly 25 % of 2009 pension contributions go into a 401k account. C'mon my brothers , we must all show brotherly love and work together , don't hate like that Reddaway ****.

Reddaway and X Reddaway people do not hate as you put it they just want fair play and a level playing field.
Everyone should get the same for doing the same job.
You are right about no more into Western State Pension, just like YRC and Central States.
You people at YRC do not understand that most the Reddaway and X Reddaway people try to stick together with Very Good Union Representation.
The people in the union try very hard to do the best they can to make sure every union employee gets a fair break, a same and level playing field when ever they can.
That is what makes Reddaway more family orientated very aggressive for such a small company. They care about their people and trying to make there company grow as one.
They just do not think about themselves and what they can get, but what they can make together as a whole.
I do believe YRC has lost that sprit and is still fighting over Yellow and Roadway merge.
This is only my way of looking at it, but that is what I have seen by the actions on this form and others. I do not wish them bad luck, just wish they could all get the SAME in this company.
Level playing field and same wages and benefits. Not one bigger company getting more cause they have more voting power or pay more total union dues (cause they have more people) than the smaller company in the same mix doing the same job. This goes with in Reddaway and or any other union company.
Guess that as you put is from "that Reddaway ****."
