Chico,CA.,Hwy 99 Fatal Car/head-on with a Semi Tanker/Crash & Burn.

Sections of that Road have remained 2 lane for decades with the increased vehicle traffic.
It's also many times deceptive for distance judging when passing.
Hwy 18 suffers as well with the many rises and drops.

Hwy 99 is NOT a road for inexperienced drivers.

It's GOOD no one else was killed.

Yeah, from Marysville to well north of Chico it is still pretty much a two lane highway, for the most part.

Caltrans finally widened it to four lanes, from Sacramento to before Marysville, which was one dangerous streach of road.

Like you said, it is very deceptive when passing. I am glad the tanker driver made it out alive.

May God take good care of this poor young womans' soul.
