Holland | Closing the Milwaukee barn !

Everyone going over to Oak Creek terminal? I’ll ask for a load going there , partner, and see what I can find out.
I think the big fear is job loss..... forget what freight was loss....

I Remember back in the day , there was a group called the "" Milwaukee Milkers Association "" and that all Dovetailing will be done by how many years & hours you milked while a member !

Certainly not everyone. When the first change came out they said it would be a -39 city . Now they're claiming that number has changed because they've lost a dozen or so at Holland. The whole purpose of a merger is to reduce costs, labor being #1 cost. There most certainly will be job loss. Guys from Milwaukee Holland/Yrc who don't make the cut, will not be following work down to wheeling where they may or may not get to dovetail.

I posted on a the yeller page in a long drawn out post. Here's the cliffs notes version. the letter states we are out of work no later than 5/28/23. Possibly earlier. Yellow is going to do everything in it's power to help us find jobs which means they will give us the phone number to the unemployment office. We will not be offered employment at the Yellow terminal or displace anyone at Yellow. The hall got the letter and is "studying" it. That's about it.

Brothers and sisters, it seems like Yellow is going to go with the changes without the COO, the whole thing must be done by the end of the summer, little by little they will be redirecting the freight to the survival terminal. At this point nobody knows the outcome, with the combination of a bad economy it may be some desperate moves done and the IBT just watching how their membership is going down...

Poorly written letter from workforce development. Make no mistake, it will be a dovetail. Not all will make the cut though, no matter what Timid Tom says.

That's what we've been told too. I guess I'm so conditioned by what Tom says I just assume the worst.
