How many more "officials" will bite the dust since Coli flipped?

:busted:

Who was John Coli kicking back too? I'm certain Coli was the bagman for the Chicago Outfit.....The Mob is telling Coli who to rat out. The Italians still upset Rosemont didn't get the Casino because of Madigan and Irish politicos that's who they are trying to take down.

A onetime member of the Teamsters who drove a truck for Hostess cupcakes, Cullerton was forced to leave the union when he was elected to the Illinois Senate in 2012.

The indictment alleges that Cullerton conspired with “Individual A” (Coli) to create a ghost-payroller position for Cullerton as a union recruiter.

As compensation for doing no work, Cullerton not only received a generous salary but performances bonuses, allowances for a cell phone and automobile as well as health and pension contributions.

Not everyone at the Teamsters was in on the plan Coli and Cullerton allegedly hatched. The indictment alleges that Cullerton “repeatedly failed to respond to efforts by his supervisors at Teamsters Joint Council 25 to contact him and routinely ignored their requests that he perform the job functions of an organizer.”

The government is asking that Cullerton forfeit $274,066 in cash or its equivalent.

The Casino was a classic episode of "Chicago stories"

The fellas from Rosemont had Blago with a pen in hand ready to sign anything.Feeling confident they got sloppy and listed names on the investors papers that were blatant..sisters with the same last name etc.

This being Chicago and the Italians about to score, guess who showed up ? If you guessed the Irish you win ! They wanted their piece that they felt entitled to and the Paisoni sat down with them but no agreement could be reached due to the famous tempers of both sides starting a **** you contest early in the negotiation.

The biggest Irish boss had a relative who was the A.G. and he took her leash off.

The investors list was made real public and the gaming board had to react.

All those involved are well known in Chicago politics/OC, some are dead and some are spoken about on this blog today.(I have Italian/Irish blood and genetically can't recall names.)

Nobody went to jail or got killed but there are hard feelings to this day. This was another example of Blago going off the reservation in the Irish eyes and was used as another nail in the coffin when the "G" was asked for a favor.
The Old man had plans to turn Rosemont into a mini Las Vegas and many believe he would have, ever wonder why there are a million hotel rooms out there? Both sides would have made money by the truckload but greed and Chicago's most famous ethnic rivalry killed the goose before the first egg was laid.

I wonder how many people know that Rahm grew up with a couple old school Simon City Royals from the lake view area. No surprise then when TJ was awarded 25 mil from the city with hardly any fight from Rahm's legal camp. Someone should look into that if they want to find any juicy bits of corruption on our glorious mayor. Dig into that and see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Look into his meetings with city council and his financial experts, and perhaps one ought to take a gander at Rahm's Christmas party photos from 2012. Look closely, See if you can find TJ standing there with a ::shit::-eating grin on his mug. Rahm thought this ******* was going to be his poster child for rehabilitation and demonstrate the city's willingness to right the wrongs of Chicago's deplorable police department. But I guess he had another thing coming because TJ had plans of his own. That's Chicago for you. Oh, don't let me forget that this gangbanging punk handed a large sum of cash to the late Paul Bauer to keep the police off his ass when he moved into his gangster Mansion in 018 back in 2015. Plus don't forget about the child abuse sex scandal at Chicago Public School?

And they said the Teamsters were squeaky clean now?! :chairshot:
Does anyone remember back when Hoffa hired Ed Stier to weed out any remaining corruption in the Teamsters? Then in 2004 Stier and his entire staff resigned after Hoffa stopped his investigation from getting to close to Chicago Teamster corruption.

The Teamsters' top internal investigator has resigned, charging that union officials thwarted his probes, especially those focusing on ties between organized crime and Chicago locals.

At least 20 members of the investigative staff resigned Wednesday along with Edwin Stier, a former federal prosecutor hired by the union four years ago to demonstrate that the Teamsters were cleaning house. Appointing Stier and his staff to fight corruption was intended to help ease the federal monitoring begun 15 years ago in a union long tied to the mob.

Stier said Thursday that as his investigators narrowed in on Chicago locals, they felt increasing pressure from Teamsters President James P. Hoffa's office.

"Rather than have the investigations continue," Stier said, union officials "literally stopped them."

I wonder where we'd be today if Hoffa hadn't stopped Stier's investigations 15 years ago?

A New Jersey teamsters local once ruled by the mob through fear and violence was released from a 13-year Federal trusteeship yesterday after the Government stipulated that the union had broken the racketeers' hold, elected independent new leaders and replaced its culture of corruption with a nascent democracy.

In a ruling that Government and union officials hailed as historic, Judge Harold A. Ackerman of Federal District Court in Newark lifted the trusteeship imposed in 1986, when Teamsters Local 560 was run by mobsters of the Genovese crime family who had looted pension and welfare funds, made a mockery of union meetings and elections and crushed members' dissent with threats and reprisals.

For a union that had once been a plaything of Anthony Provenzano, a Mafia don convicted of murder and extortion, who died in prison in 1988 and has been linked to the 1975 death of the teamster president James R. Hoffa, the decision signaled a new beginning of self-government, open meetings and free elections.

And it seemed to reaffirm a Government strategy that, after years of all but ineffectual prosecutions of individual mobsters, has decimated organized crime ranks and cut their grip on unions and businesses in the last decade by using racketeering laws and trusteeships to reform the leadership and cultures of corrupt enterprises

I was at the union meeting when the judge lifted the trusteeship. Hoffa and Stier were up on the dais. Hoffa said that we then had the cleanest local in the Teamsters. He then announced that he had hired Stier to investigate any other corruption there might be in the IBT. Then 4 years later Hoffa stopped him from getting too close to the union corruption in Chicago. Shame on us!!!!!!!!!
