How is the New Penn,Billerica terminal with the doubles?
They didn't even want or have road bids at all and forced 18 on them, last COO.
Now they force doubles.
Are their road guys new, or senior guys?

Thinking mass exodus of senior guys at new penn they are refusing doubles in Maybrook now .The ten idiots who piled out of the clown car and walked into yellow hg are as stupid as dems in Washington no clue

Oh. So I'm not alone as it looks.
Good.
Not that we'll win.
But it ain't over.

What's Yellow hg?

The mass exodus of senior guys is exactly their plan.
What union should support any kind of plan like that?
Come on!
Stop all your theories and stupidities!:regretful:
Everyone in here is a grown adult, any single person will take a decision of his own, based on how is affected. Majority have a family and has to provide food and a roof, sadly some others have a love one with a sickness or health issue.
Do you think a driver will quit just because now have to drive a set of pups?
Do you think a driver will care if the trailer is 6 inches wider, if a 53' has a swing doors?
Do you think a driver will quit because have to do a different routine?
A senior driver just have more options to take, that's it!
Yellow Freight is not forcing you to do more, just to do your work in a different way with a combination of different sizes of equipment. How hard is that?
Be a real union person and encourage to be one, stop your negativity, no all changes are bad, sometimes is test to see how a man is made of.
If you are a real man, make changes to change your life.

How did all them changes work out with the pensions before....and I can see you're already on a path to let them do it again.

The senior road guys are not getting more options because the company wants them gone.
If you don't have good stuff in seniority then what's to look forward to from the guy walking in the door on up?
Their road jobs are gone.
Up in age and forced to work freight.

I see you attempt heartfelt stuff.

What about them?

The healthy and young and cheap is their desire.
Same story forever.

Their is no heart in your post.

I get it. Been there done that for those other things the company, not the guys, needed when they came back begging and bullying from a contract that they had just signed not many days or weeks before.

A set of pups are easier to pull then 53s, they track better, nothing to be afraid of for those that have to pull them. Just a few more connections to pre trip.
It's all us road drivers on the west coast pull, well we have an occasional 53 or even a 48 with locked tandem slide.

Actually we triple in the state of Oregon and Nevada.

Just ask yourself one question about these pups.... Are they going to be making you punch out to hook or drop-out these pups, or will you still be on the clock?

If it takes a little longer, then it just take a little longer. Much like the question that came with the safety vests that they are cramming up our butts..... Who can argue against safety? Who wouldn't want you to be safe?

Here on the west coast, we are paid 1/4 hour for each kingpin.
If the set is already hooked, and you connect your tractor to the set its 1/4 hour pay.
If you put the 2 trailers together and hook your truck your paid 1/2 hour. Same when you drop your set. If you just drop the set your paid 1/4 hour, if you put the equipment away and break the set your paid 1/2 hour.

As a velocity driver that’s all gone. Your hourly pay is from punch in to punch out spend it driving, hooking up, working the dock or any combination of the three.
