Can anyone tell me if company seniority for all purposes will be in the next contract or give me your thoughts on the subject

I sure hope so, but doubt it will even be discussed. Maybe it can be incorporated into work rules, if we even get them.

Would be nice, even if you lost your seniority for 1 year and got it back if you change classifications would be nice. As I hear other company's do it.

At our Local it was put to a vote when then union came in, whether to have one board or two boards. Once it was voted on, our BA says it will not be revisited.

If the union believes that " for all purposes" is a grey area, I don't know of another way to put it more definitively. So I doubt it will ever change. Nice to see after 6 months to a year you dovetail in would be nice though.

Your now a union member if u feel that your seiniority is being ignored file a grevance it cant hurt and it might stop it from happening again
