We have 122 days as of today till the expiration. It took a 30 day extension at UPS to get that contract done and over with. There seems to be 0 effort on both sides to get this deal on the table and out to a vote on time.

Of the 122 days, you can subtract 4 = Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years day. That's 118 days left.

Maybe we should start ringing our locals phones and say hey get to work. Get us a basic proposal to see where the company stands before it gets to far into the future which could result in a pressured contract choice.

The International negotiates the contract, the locals sent in proposals, so call Hoffa and tell him to hurry up!

RELAX!! I’m hearing we’ll have a new 5 year MOU in place by the end of the year.

You better check your source, there will never be a new 5 year agreement in place by the end of the year, proposals from members were just due back, now they'll put some piece of chit together that boyh sides agree on, schedule meetings to put it out to the members, schedule a vote which takes a few weeks, we'll vote it down, then the locals will schedule another meeting to tell us if we vote no again its over, then we'll vote again and it will be approved, March at best is my estimate!!

Not 100% sure , but I think HHB might have been a little flippant, just guessing.

They are just going to extend the contract again for another 5 years with a $1000 sign on bonus and 50 cent yearly raises. Pension and 15% not coming back it would cost company $750 million which they don't have lost half of their freight $10 Billion company to $5 Billion.

thats because they dont service the customer - cant deliver on time, cant delver without damages due to stacking the f out of the freight in the trailers, they cant pick up the freight due to no drivers and wages that subpar compared to non unions. the stock is putrid and cant get out of the cellar because of the above highlighted info. the entire board of directors and company leaders should be gone and install new people who have a fing clue. best thing would be bankruptcy and then they would be free of the 900 million dollar debt obligation. they spend nearly 90 million a year just servicing the debt. however, ups freight isnt the bastion of great wages either. they take 4 full years to get to about 26 or so an hour. the entire freight economy has changed especially with hot shot freight deliveries and uber freight.
