Jeff, just what I was thinking. And probably the driver seat will have to be replaced also.

Might have to wait for his sphincter muscle to relax before they can retrieve that seat.

Gives new meaning to the phrase,"getting your doors blown off".

I knew a guy when we were American Freightways that had his truck struck by lighting about 12 yrs ago. He said he could barely hear for a couple days. Fried all the electronics in the truck. Cb antenna is where the strike hit the truck only thing left of the antenna was a nub. They fixed the truck but they might as well have junked it for it never did run right after that always breaking down. Good luck with that truck.

Clearly preventable. The safety board will be in touch soon.

They confiscated the drivers phone because they believe the driver may have been texting and had they not been texting they could have clearly avoided this bolt of lightning.

NOOOO!!! can't if it's HIS phone, right?? RIGHT?? :hissy:

Any other linehaul driver actually have a cellphone that is provided by Conway??

It was a LTU driver and he is fine, a little shaken up

How long did it take them to get that seat out of his butt?

Ever since you poor basterds had Dave Miller crammed up your lower gastrointestinal
tract, ALL accidents have been preventable. If a meteor fell from the sky, or someone
entered the terminal and started shooting people, it would still be YOUR fault. Get it
through your heads.

Clearly, this driver could have prevented having lightning blow his door off......you will
never get an explanation HOW, but he will be charged and get a letter.

It is quite clear John L. is a loser in this arena....spouting the benefits and thanks on the videos...yet recusing himself from the real issues facing this company internally.

He is just another 'yes boy' at the behest of the CEO and BOD...nothing special...just another sellout for the money.
