Unprecedented times. Temporary measures will adjust to volume fluctuations. YOUR LOCAL leadership will communicate this.

I'll comment. Announcing a furlough and not having ::shit:: ironed out is unacceptable when times are as they are. In most a lot of places they've managed to not just lower, but destroy moral.

Safety above all? Not at this company. STILL not taking temperatures at facilities is a joke and unacceptable. "Reach out to leadership" is the biggest pass the buck bullshit in the history of bullshit

This comes from the top down. Either management didn't see this coming(which is their fault), their goals haven't been communicated clearly (also their fault) or they haven't given SCMs the tools, or communicated goals at a center level properly(once again ALSO the fault from the top down)

In the military if someone had such a **** up they would be removed from command.

The Blueprint for what's next

Raj:

“Effective immediately, we're redefining our strategic operating principals as:

Compete Collectively
Operate Collaboratively
Innovate Digitally

We're building the network for what's next...”

That's the Short version.
Hey Raj Subramaniam, how about we get the stuff we have working correctly before sinking more dollars into beta testing software from companies that want to string us along?

The network sucks. Handhelds lose connection, ELDs can't connect to the servers WHEN IN THE YARD! Is this stuff written in-house or are we buying it at a premium?

Typically FedEx doesn't just buy anything "off the shelf". I'm told they tweek it, often beyond it's original design. This was said to be the story on the intermec, for example. Other companies had little or no trouble, but we always had glitches.
