That is really too funny....I have 2 stories on this....Don't you think it's ironic how, when you deliver EXCERCISE EQUIPMENT to residentials or gyms, these people are the LEAST likely to want to help you?
The commercial style treadmills we do are 370 lbs or so....I'm lucky though, our dock guys tend to knock a few boards off the pallet to lighten them up for me....These posts are too much lol. I workout and order rogue and have a home gym. But I always help & tip the delivery guy. But I’m a savage with the weights so most of you p&d guys don’t help me too much. Only kidding. Those treadmills are crazy heavy 330lb just the track on a commercial one. Happy Thanksgiving my fellow truckers
I had one two weeks ago want me to take it to his basement... I politely told him no but I will put it in your garage (he only paid for curbside)....he actually called my manager the next day and fabricated a story (which thankfully wasn't believed).....now I have been looking at body cams to record my interactions with residential customers....”Can you put it upstairs in my workout room?”
Actually ABF still does garage delivery.... he was an older guy (85 or so) so I was being nice to him and said no to the basement, but I will put it in the garage......no good deed goes unpunished....All residentials are curb side. You can simply bring the stuff back to the terminal. You can refuse to do anything unsafe. In almost every circumstance, unloading a pallet that is at least twice as long as the lift gate or weights 3 to 10 times your body weight, is a potential injury and certainly not very safe.
You've got to be on your guard around older guys. They've had a long time to become devious, conniving, unscrupulous individuals.Actually ABF still does garage delivery.... he was an older guy (85 or so) so I was being nice to him and said no to the basement, but I will put it in the garage......no good deed goes unpunished....
