I was trying to find the "list" of jobs that pay better than trucking, and I will continue to try and post it when I find it, but this might be of "some help" to any wannabe's.....

Are you looking for jobs that pay better than the trucking industry, or the highest paying jobs in the industry?

i was trying to find a list of jobs, that pay BETTER than trucking.

not everyone can either easily get higher paying trucking jobs, or do the jobs that pay more money, in trucking.

so, what i was trying to do was, give a comparison of other industries/jobs, that pay as well as, if not MORE than trucking...

i think the last link i provided, had that comparison, but it certainly is not a complete list of other occupations..

too many people think that trucking is "the cure all job" for unemployment, cut backs, lay-off's etc, etc. and it just isn't.

too many people say things like.."i always wanted to drive", or "i like driving, i can drive my mini van for 2 hours straight", or, "i need a job now, cuz i'm gonna lose my house"....

people seem to "expect" that trucking will pay so much money right out of school that they will not have any more worries about money.

too many people think that trucking is so damned easy, never once even thinking about all the inconveniences they will have to live through while on the road for several weeks at a time.

only a "few" can get a good job out of school at a local company and maybe....maybe start at or about $20 per hour, and be home after 12-14, or 16 hours each day.

some wannabe's get filled up with so much crap from message boards, friends, and school recruiters, it's a slap in the face to the industry, which keeps the revolving doors working.

we will never see any substantial pay increase, as long as the assembly lines of wannabe's are put together and spit out faster than the market can handle them.

Compared to what many people were making before, 30,000k is a wage increase for them.

If you go get a college degree instead, that degree will NOT guarantee you employment, just like having a CDL doesn't guarantee you employment.
