Dyersburg, Tn

It may be possible but mostly out a day or two. Dot is a food service industry supplier that has trucks. If you're qualified, now is the time to get on board at a new distribution center. Check out the website www.dotfods.com to see what Dot is about. I've been here little over 9 years and plan to finish my career here. Feel free to contact me, they are hiring today for Customer Delivery Specialists.

Does dot foods only do a certain radius around there warehouses? Just wondering if they would ever think about putting one here in mn

Dot does a lot of different types of runs. We have transfer drivers who travel to the different D.C.s (Distribution Centers), drivers who work from a D.C. and cover a region, teams, drivers who meet other drivers on transfer turns. It's varied. I mainly do the long doubles between Chicago and NY. As far as plans for a MN D.C., I've not heard any mention.

I haven't heard any plans for a drop yard or DC in MN, the closest I know of is a drop yard in northern Iowa.

As far as trips that will get you home every day from Dyersburg, it won't happen. Most of your loads will be in Louisiana and Mississippi so you'll be out a couple of days at least. Still, being considered an OTR driver and getting home at least every week is better than what you'll find at most companies, and the pay is well above average.

How's it going Mike, haven't heard from you in a while?!

I saw a DOT truck and trailer on my way to Norman last night, it was a white International, looked like an owner operator, do you all have O/O's?

We do, but if it was a white International is was probably an Ufkes truck. Ufkes is a farmer around Mt. Sterling that leases his trucks on with Dot. We've also got some red and white lease trucks running around.

I see the DOT guys unloading and breaking down pallets on the docks when I deliver to sysco/pfg..etc.. they all wear back braces. Doesn't look like too hard of a job though.
